DESCRIPTION:Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) is pleased to announce a “Living Well in Community” (LWC) Workshop. The 8-week workshop will meet on Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon\, beginning September 9 and ending October 28. \nClasses will be held at the Retired  Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) office at 115 7th Ave W in Roundup. Participants can also join the class from anywhere in LIFTT’s service area via Microsoft Teams; we’ll provide a link at registration. \nLWC is a fun\, interactive workshop designed for people with disabilities who want to build skills\, gain confidence\, and make choices that support living the life they want. \nEach week you’ll enjoy: \n\nFun activities and group discussions\nInformative videos\nPractical tips and helpful resources\nA welcoming\, supportive environment where you can connect with others\n\nAs part of LIFTT’s partnership with the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services Blood Pressure Project\, participants will also have their blood pressure checked during the first (9/9)\, midway (10/14)\, and final sessions (10/28). We will provide educational brochures and information on maintaining healthy blood pressure throughout the workshop. \nWhether you’re looking to learn something new\, meet new people\, or discover tools to help you live more independently\, this workshop is for you! \nLWC is provided free of charge to participants. The 11-week workshop will be held on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to Noon beginning on May 5 and concluding on July 14. \nThe workshop will be hybrid\, available both in person at the Billings LIFTT office and online to participants throughout our 18-county service area. \nDesigned as part of the Healthy Community Living (HCL) program and rooted in the Independent Living Philosophy\, the LWC workshop is a dynamic\, interactive course that helps you take control of your health\, well-being\, and personal goals. Throughout the 11 sessions\, you’ll build a toolbox of practical skills to help you: \n\nSet and achieve meaningful\, realistic goals\,\nStrengthen your support system and stay motivated\,\nImprove communication and build stronger relationships\,\nMake healthier choices for your body and mind\,\nLearn how to advocate for yourself and your medical needs\,\nMaintain the positive changes you make.\n\nWhether you’re navigating a personal challenge or simply seeking to feel more empowered and connected\, this workshop is for you. DESCRIPTION:Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) is pleased to announce that we will be conducting a “Living Well in Community” (LWC) Workshop. The 11-week workshop will be held on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to Noon beginning on May 5 and concluding on July 14. \nThe workshop will be hybrid\, available both in person at the Billings LIFTT office and online to participants throughout our 18-county service area. \nDesigned as part of the Healthy Community Living (HCL) program and rooted in the Independent Living Philosophy\, the LWC workshop is a dynamic\, interactive course that helps you take control of your health\, well-being\, and personal goals. Throughout the 11 sessions\, you’ll build a toolbox of practical skills to help you: \n\nSet and achieve meaningful\, realistic goals\,\nStrengthen your support system and stay motivated\,\nImprove communication and build stronger relationships\,\nMake healthier choices for your body and mind\,\nLearn how to advocate for yourself and your medical needs\,\nMaintain the positive changes you make.\n\nWhether you’re navigating a personal challenge or simply seeking to feel more empowered and connected\, this workshop is for you. Participants often say it feels less like a class and more like a weekly gathering with friends who truly understand and support one another. \nLWC is provided free of charge to participants.
