Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) invites the community to a lunch and learn on Tuesday, October 22, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at LIFTT’s Glendive office at 119 S. Kendrick Avenue.
LIFTT’s new Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) will be the topic of the presentation as DPP-trained lifestyle coaches Anya Pulis and Eileen Rodriguez will provide an overview of the 12-month lifestyle change program and provide a sneak peek of the major topics covered by the program, including:
- Changing unhealthy behaviors,
- Strategies for healthy eating,
- Exercise and other ways to become more physically active, building up to (hopefully) 150 minutes of physical activity per week and
- Meeting a healthy weight loss goal of 5-7%.
The presentation will begin at 11 a.m. A free lunch of grilled hot dogs and “end-of-summer” cucumber salad will follow. So come by LIFTT on October 22 to grab a free bite and learn more about our Diabetes Prevention Program!
