Lunch & Learn Discusses Diabetes Prevention September 25

LIFTT Invites you to a Lunch & Learn to hear more about our Diabetes Prevention Program, 09/25 11-1 at the Billings LIFTT office.

Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) invites the community to join our team for a “Lunch & Learn” on Wedensday September 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Billings LIFTT office (1241 Crawford Drive)

LIFTT’s new Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) will be the topic of the presentation as DPP-trained lifestyle coaches  Anya Pulis and Eileen Rodriguez will provide an overview of the 12-month intensive lifestyle change program and provide a sneak peek of the 16 weekly and six monthly group sessions that participants will undergo focusing on topics such as

  • Changing unhealthy behaviors
  • Strategies for healthy eating
  • Exercises and other ways to become more physically active, buliding up to (hopefully) 150 minutes of physical activity per week
  • Meeting a healthy weight loss goal of 5-7%

The LIFTT breakfast and lunch program will provide lunch (free, healthy, and yummy!), so we ask that interested people RSVP. To RSVP or for more information about the Lunch & Learn presentation and the Diabetes Prevention Program, contact Anya Pulis at (406) 606-1766, anyap@liftt.org, or Eileen Rodriguez at (406) 294-5185, eileenr@liftt.org.
