LIFTT and Neighbors Helping Neighbors host Glendive “Balloon Battleship” Fundraiser 8/27

LIFTT and Neighbors Helping Neighbors "Balloon Battleship" fundraiser August 27

Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) and Neighbors Helping Neighbors invite the community to participate in their first ever “Balloon Battleship” fundraiser on Saturday, August 27 beginning at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Fantastic Finds at 23 Highway 16 in Glendive.

A human-propelled take on the classic board game using water balloon armaments teams of 10 players consisting of a fleet of five “ships” and five “bombers” will compete in a double elimination tournament consisting of matches that can last up to 30 minutes. The first team whose “bombers” sink their opponent’s entire “fleet” is the winner. If full time is reached before the side’s entire “fleet” is “sunk” the team who “sank” more of their opponents’ “ships” will be the winner.

Registration will be $100 per team of 10. Concessions will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the tournament will be divided between LIFTT and Neighbors Helping Neighbors to support each organization’s mission.
