Living Independently for Today & Tomorrow (LIFTT) and the Montana State University Extension Service are excited to announce that starting in mid-January, they are teaming up to offer a free nine-week cooking and nutrition class designed to help participants discover the joy of preparing delicious meals together by empowering them with practical kitchen skills, smart shopping knowledge, and nutritional know-how.

Each Thursday from 1:00-2:30 p.m. starting on January 16  and running through March 13, join MSU Extension’s Debbie Holman in the kitchen of LIFTT’s Billings location at 1241 Crawford Drive as she offers a hands-on interactive experience where students will learn:

  • How to prepare balanced, healthy meals.
  • Tips for shopping on a budget.
  • Practical nutrition advice to support overall health.

MSU Extension provides the food and educational materials, while LIFTT offers a fully equipped kitchen with accessible cooking tools. Our partnership means that all you need to do is show up ready to learn and have fun!

This program is more than just a cooking class; it’s an opportunity to build community, develop life-enhancing skills, and enjoy delicious, nutritious meals. Whether you’re a parent wanting to cook with your kids, a person with disabilities looking for healthy eating tips, or someone eager to learn new skills. We invite you to join us on this incredible journey of flavor, nutrition, and connection.
