The SILC Needs You!

The Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) advocates for the independent living needs of people with disabilities so that they can enjoy the same rights and opportunities as all Montana citizens.

It does this by developing and following the guidelines of a State Plan, which contains the policies and recommendations for independent living.

Most SILC members are people with disabilities, and additional representatives include a Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation director, a Center for Independent Living director, a representative from Disability Employment and Transitions, a youth representative, and a representative from other state agencies that provide services for individuals with disabilities.

Right now, there are several openings on the SLIC that need to be filled. To apply or for more information visit the SILC Website or contact Vena Dagnall at (406) 444-2590 or Vena.Dagnall@mt.gov.
