“Memories for Life” coming to Babcock

“Memories for Life” coming to Babcock

The documentary

The documentary “Memories for Life” highlights new developments in understanding, preventing, and treating Alzheimer’s, dementia, and overall brain health. A free film screening will be held on Sunday, October 6, at 2 p.m. at the Babcock Theatre in downtown Billings.

The community is invited to a free screening of the documentary film Memories for Life: Reversing Alzheimer’s on Sunday, October 6, at 2 p.m. at the Babcock Theatre (2810 2nd Avenue North) in downtown Billings.
The film highlights people who are achieving the “impossible” by making changes that have reversed memory loss.

If you have ever experienced the heartbreak of seeing a loved one lose their memory, this film will give you hope. Learn about the lifestyle changes necessary for maintaining a healthy brain. You will discover that exercise is one of the most beneficial lifestyle habits for brain health, especially when it engages the mind. For example, square dancing is a fun, socially stimulating activity that fully engages the body and mind – qualities essential for good brain health. All exercise is beneficial for brain health, but it is not enough alone. A lifestyle that includes brain-healthy nutrition, stress management, quality sleep, and other brain-stimulating activities, in addition to exercise, will yield the best results.

Following the documentary, there will be a discussion about how you can get support for yourself or a loved one. The best results come from working as a team. At LIFTT, we offer resources such as health coaching, exercise opportunities, and our personal caregiver program. The belief that “there is nothing you can do about it” is simply not true. Hope comes from learning how to protect your brain.

We hope you bring friends and family and enjoy this FREE event together! For more information about the “Memories for Life” screening event, contact LIFTT Nutritional Health Coach and Independent Living Specialst Eileen Rodriguez at (406) 294-5183 or eileenr@liftt.org.
